Walter Silva Director – Financial Analysis
With more than fifteen years of financial advisory services experience, Walter Silva has advised international and US clients on mergers, acquisitions, privatizations and restructurings. Walter has a diverse industry experience including food, agribusiness, financial sector, manufacturing and media. His broad and varied experience ranges from leading large strategic divestitures to due diligence and valuations. He was recently lead advisor in the $126 million sale of a commercial bank, the $377 million restructuring of a large industrial conglomerate, and the sale of a $150 million utility.
Walter was Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in New York and Senior Vice President at a European investment banking firm. While in these positions he advised major corporations in North America, Europe and Latin America in multiple projects in emerging markets. A native of Argentina, Mr. Silva received his undergraduate degree from University of Buenos Aires and his MBA, from William E. Simon School of Business Administration, University of Rochester. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, MBA Honor Society. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He has spoken to many audiences on corporate finance issues and lectured at New York University on Mergers and Acquisitions.
Scott Welsh Director
Scott Welsh has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and advisor in agribusiness, with a particular focus on AgTech. He has co-founded several AgTech companies based on early stage technology, including serving as founding President for Boragen, a novel Ag chemical company that went from founding to $10 million A round financing in less than 2 years. He provides technology commercialization, business development and financing strategy advisory services to clients across the agriculture value chain. Previously he was a Partner at a boutique project development and finance advisory group in the biofuels industry, and Vice President at a regional agricultural consulting firm.
